Welcome to Ranger Jane's Beach School
Ranger Jane has lived in north Northumberland since 2010 and is Fully trained by the National Trust as a Community ranger.
Her favourite part of her job with the National Trust included hosting family events at Seahouses, Low Newton by the sea, Lindisfarne Castle and Druridge Bay.
During the pandemic Jane made the brave decision to accept voluntary redundancy from the National Trust and create Ranger Jane's Beach School in 2020.
The beach school became a roaring success with Ranger Jane's seashore safari becoming one of the 'must do' activities for families visiting our beautiful Northumberland coast.
Ranger Jane's beach school has gone from strength to strength and Jane can be found hosting events for school trips, charity organisations, festivals and of course theres her regular events at Howick Hall and gardens.
In 2023 Scuba Steve joined the team.
Steve is a professional Scuba Diving instructor and Skipper with 25 years experience of introducing both adults and children to the wonders of our beautiful ocean.
Steve offers his signiture Discover Snorkeling experience to those who have little or no snorkeling experience but are wanting to safely explore our sheltered coves and beaches.
For those who are experienced snorkelers, steve offers his Discover SNUBA Diving experience as well as a whole host of PADI SCUBA diving courses for those brave souls who are ready to explore the deep.

School trips and large group seashore safaris and beach activities
1.5 to 4 hours bespoke seashore activities exclusively for your school trip or group. Activities range from the ever popular seashore safari to whale trails and scavanger hunts or kite flying all catered for with that extra Ranger Jane twist.

Discover snorkelling with Scuba Steve
Allow upto 3 hours for this introduction to snorkelling experience with Steve, a seasoned profesional diving instuctor with over 20 years of experience.
Your experience will start with an introduction to the equipment that you will use for snorkelling as well as a briefing on safety, divers hand signals, skills and the marine life that we might see during our adventure.
Once you are kitted up in warm wetsuits, masks, snorkels and fins we will head into the water for an hour of exploration during which we will look for marine life and practice the skills we have learned.
A DryRobe and a hot drink will be waiting at the end of the experience for a well deserved warm up.
