WELCOME TO FREESCUBA.UK
In 2015​ FreeScuba.UK was created as an experiment, the idea being to offer quality PADI scuba diver training without the price tag usually associated with learning to dive.

The idea was to charge an annual membership fee which included unlimited training, the only other costs involved being course materials and qualifications.
​
It wasn't pure philanthropy that drove me to create FreeScuba.UK however, back then i was a newly qualified diving instructor wanting to push my career forwards and FreeScuba.UK gave me the opportunity to hone my craft while helping other divers to hone theirs.
​
As you can imagine the experiment proved very successful with over 200 courses completed in the first year alone.
Unfortunately the club disintegrated when i moved to the Northumberland coast, I continued trading as FreeScuba.UK but only on a part time basis and not in the same radical manor that was FreeScuba.UK's original ethos.
I've had lots of time during the covid 19 pandemic to sit down and revisit the whole FreeScuba.UK experiment and have come up with another new way of doing things that again steps away from the norm and makes diver training affordable and accessible to all and whats more its also covid safe!!

PADI has also been busy during the pandemic, the elearning platform has expanded to cover most of the diving courses that are currently available, this makes learning to dive even more accessible as all the academic side of diver training is done directly through PADI which leaves us to concentrate on the fun part.

Unlike other dive centers FreeScuba.UK operates on a totally transparent pricing basis.
Value for money and quality training are hard to find in the diving industry today as dive centers are forced to keep lowering prices to compete.

The result being rushed and shoddy training and disappointed customers.
FreeScuba.UK turned this on its head in 2015 by keeping overheads low, limiting student numbers and most of all being transparent with pricing.

Our training is FREE.
​
You buy your course materials directly from PADI and complete all of your home study before beginning training.
When you begin training we charge you per session for equipment hire, boat hire and gas/air.
The training however is FREE
​
This means that we can operate on a pay as you go basis with no time restraints so that we can structure your course to suite your needs.
